Never send money
No genuine partner will ask for money, gifts, visa fees or bank details. Report anyone who does.
Stay on the platform
Keep conversations here until you trust the person. Our moderation team can only help with messages sent on the platform.
Verify before meeting
Have a video call first. Be cautious of anyone who always has excuses not to.
Involve your family
Share profiles with your family and meet for the first time in a public place.
Look for verified badges
Verified members have had their identity documents checked by our team.
Control your privacy
Hide your phone, email, photos, income and exact location in Privacy settings.
Fraud awareness
- Profiles claiming to live abroad who quickly profess love and ask for help with money are a common scam.
- Be wary of requests to move to other apps immediately, or to share one-time passwords (OTPs).
- Jhapa Matrimonial staff will never ask for your password or OTP.
Protect yourself
- Never send money, gifts or bank details to someone you have not met and verified.
- Keep conversations on the platform until you are comfortable.
- Meet for the first time in a public place and tell a family member where you are going.
- Be cautious of profiles that avoid video calls or push for urgency.
- Look for the verified badge and involve your family.
Report fraud
Use the Report option on any profile or message. Our moderation team reviews every report.
Community Guidelines
- Be honest: use your real identity and recent photos.
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech or explicit content.
- No commercial promotion or solicitation.
- Never ask other members for money.
- Report suspicious behaviour using the Report button.
Report a problem
Open the profile or conversation and choose "Report". You can also block the member immediately. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team.
